IPC
The International Press Corps
Established in the year 1950, The International Press Corps (commonly referred to as the IPC) is a forum for news agencies across the world operating to congregate and promote a common agenda i.e., to safeguard the concept of free press and improve the quality of journalism. The IPC is structured to act as a platform for news agencies covering conferences taking place at the United Nations in its various organs such as the General Assembly (UNGA), Security Council (UNSC), Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and so on. IPC is an ideal committee for upcoming journalists and students with a knack for writing who get a chance to cover the different conferences, conduct interviews and engage in writing various types of news paper articles like Op-Eds, Editorials, Front pages, special articles etc, giving them a holistic experience of journalism
